Ryan has been involved in heavy highway engineering since 2000 when he started his career as a highway designer at the Missouri Department of Transportation. While at the DOT, Ryan developed his knowledge in nearly every aspect of highway construction including design, construction, planning, and maintenance. In 2007, Ryan left the DOT to pursue a career at SemMaterials where he specialized in asphalt mixture performance and construction technologies. Ryan currently works at Ingevity, one of the world’s leading specialty chemical suppliers in asphalt applications, where he continues to specialize in asphalt mixture performance and innovation.
