APANM ‘s leadership team has a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Bob Wood
Robert joined Albuquerque Asphalt in 1985 after receiving his Civil Engineering degree from Tex Tech. He became partner and President in 1999. Robert has also served as President for the Rio Grande Underground Contractors Association.
David Otoski
David has been in the heavy highway construction business since 1983. He is active in supporting the construction industry in New Mexico and was a board member for ACNM for 7 years also serving as President. In addition David is also currently serving on the board of Steelbridge Ministries.
Sterling Hamilton
Vice President of Construction for James Hamilton Construction Co. Sterling has worked in Heavy Highway construction since 2001 and has experience in crushing, asphalt paving, materials testing and mix designs, and equipment maintenance and scheduling.
Sandy Brasier
Brasier Asphalt, Inc. was formed in 1981 by Clarence and Sandy Brasier in Colorado. The company did mixing of rap with a pugmill, and eventually produced hot mix with portable plant. In the 1990s, we began also doing work in New Mexico. Sandy did only the books until 2000, but
Cory Peyton
Cory joined HollyFrontier Refining & Marketing, LLC in 2004. He is the marketing representative for the northern part of New Mexico. Cory holds a degree in Environmental Health and Safety.
Ryan Brown
Ryan has been involved in heavy highway engineering since 2000 when he started his career as a highway designer at the Missouri Department of Transportation. While at the DOT, Ryan developed his knowledge in nearly every aspect of highway construction including design, construction, planning, and maintenance. In 2007, Ryan left
Paul Appel
Paul is the Asphalt Operations Manager and Quality Control Manager for Four Corners Materials. Paul has worked in construction and materials testing since 1984. He has been involved as a manager on a wide variety of commercial, residential, heavy highway and airport projects in Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico. Also serving on several construction, aggregate and asphalt committees.
Gary Shubert
Gary is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Mexico. He retired NMDOT with 25 years of managerial experience, serving as the District Engineer in two of the six Districts. He was the chair of the Base and Pavement Committee for several years. Gary is currently employed with Cutler Repaving, a Hot Recycling
Jessica Sena
Jessica has 27 yrs. experience in heavy highway construction, retiring from the NMDOT with 25 yrs. Her main area of expertise is with asphalt material, mix designs and quality control for projects and materials.
Brian Jones
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF APANM – Brian held a variety of Sales and Management positions for CONTECH Engineered Solutions for 37 years.
